OFI is a new operating group born out of Olam. OFI offers sustainable, natural, value-added food products and ingredients. The company is a top-three global supplier of green coffee, with a presence in nearly all major origins and is inaugurating its first soluble coffee factory in Brazil, located in the city of Linhares, in the state of Espírito Santo.

Cia. Lilla has been selected to provide the roasting equipment for this new facility. After conducting extensive research among the world's leading suppliers, OFI chose Lilla due to its long-standing relationship with the group, technical capabilities, technology, and the quality of its equipment, which ensures lower energy consumption per ton of roasted coffee and a roasting profile that enhances extraction efficiency.

The commercial relationship between Cia. Lilla and OFI, commenced in 2008 when Lilla provided a complete roasting line, including reception and green coffee storage, green coffee blending system, a Third-Generation OPUS Roaster, a roasted coffee blending system, as well as all conveyors, including long-distance roots transport systems, for OFI's new soluble coffee industry in Vietnam.

Over the past years, OFI has invested with Cia. Lilla in two more production lines at the same location, confirming its choice of our technology.

For the Brazilian unit, Lilla is providing two complete production lines, incorporating the highest technology available in the market. The supplying scope includes green coffee reception, pre-cleaning system, storage in two 35-ton green coffee silos with a total capacity of 70 tons, green and roasted coffee blending systems, two roasters, mechanical and pneumatic conveyors.

The entire system is integrated with the Lilla standard of excellence in automation, of production planning and information management, in line with the industry 4.0 concepts. This industrial complex features two OPUS 40 4G roasters, each with a production capacity of 3,500 kg of green coffee per hour, ensuring a minimum total processing capacity of 7 tons of green coffee per hour.

These roasters incorporate the latest Lilla's 4th generation roasting technology, resulting in the minimum Roasting loss and lowest fuel consumption available in the market. The temperature control system throughout the process offers unparalleled roasting flexibility and provides unbeatable color and moisture consistency.
